Alvord Deer Farm Texas Barndominium 

Today’s featured barndominium on BarndominiumLife.com is a beautiful custom barndo in Alvord, Texas built by HL Custom Homes. The tasteful, modern style of this Texas barndominium is absolutely wonderful and is both understated and incredibly up front making it a great combination of cozy and stylish. We love everything about this amazing home and can’t wait to share it with you!

Exterior 

The first thing you might notice about this Texas barndominium when looking at it from the outside is the incredibly unique array of windows surrounding the front door. We love how they match the angles of the entrance peak and offer a continuation of the angles all the way up to the porch. This is a great way to accentuate the delicate lines of your home without having to make them too severe. 

We also love the sun room that sits right off the side of the porch. This is a great addition to this Texas barndominium and shows just how important leisure space like this is to a home. This is especially true in those hot Texas summers when there are plenty of mosquitoes and you just want to enjoy the light without having to deal with the heat and the bug bites. 

Interior 

Living Area

The main hall is absolutely the crown jewel of this Texas barndominium and features amazingly rustic-looking flooring with a unique color and texture scheme. We love the stone fireplace and can see just how important this is to tie the entire home together and create a focal point for the eye to land on. Plus, the center beam that runs through the hall and holds the large ceiling fan makes for a perfect breakup of the lighter colors and gives an excellent sense of space and grandeur right when you walk in. 

While the windows on the front facade of this Texas barndominium look great from the outside, where they really shine is the interior. Since they match the angles of the ceiling, they enhance the height of the space and give it an even more opulent feel. Plus, they let in enough of that beautiful Texas sunshine to give the whole home a natural, well-lit feel. 

Kitchen

The open floor plan of this Texas barndominium is one of the things that really makes it an amazing home. Since there is no separation between the living area and the kitchen, there is plenty of space for family and friends to gather. With the large kitchen island, you can even set up stools on one side for an amazingly social and spacious breakfast bar. 

One of the most interesting things about the kitchen in this Texas barndominium is where the refrigerator is located. Since it is further toward the living area, there is much more accessibility and it will be easier for people who aren’t working in the kitchen to have access to it. This is a great choice if you want people to be able to get to the fridge without getting in the way of those who are cooking in the kitchen. 

We also absolutely love the creative, rustic-looking light fixture above the kitchen island. This is a great touch and adds a wonderful contrast to the modern, clean vibe of this entire Texas barndominium. Combined with the flooring, there are some amazing, tasteful design elements like this that really bring this whole home together. 

Bedrooms 

The bedrooms in this Texas barndominium are simple, but just like the rest of the home, they are incredibly elegant. One of the great things about this home is the delicate interplay between the colors of the walls and trim and flooring. Combining this with the way the natural light comes in results in an incredibly light and airy feeling in this home. 

This Texas barndominium also features an office space with built-in workspaces and a large window. Even though this space is not very big, it still has enough room for two people to work in if need be. Having a dedicated place like this to work is a great addition to any home and can really help keep work and home life separate. 

Bathrooms

The bathrooms in this Texas barndominium are incredibly well appointed and have many desirable features like a steam shower that is separate from the bathtub. This is perfect if you have multiple people sharing one bathroom space and don’t want anyone to get hung up waiting to be able to take a shower. The beautiful fogged window also lets in that natural light without sacrificing privacy. 

The other bathroom features an amazingly patterned countertop and marble shower that add a hint of pattern to this otherwise clean Texas barndominium. We love the contrast here and feel it really brings out the simplicity of the rest of the home without making it feel cluttered or overly busy. 

All in all, this Texas barndominium is a perfect choice for someone who wants to be able to make a home their own without making it too crowded. This home has a fantastic, clean feeling that feels elegant and completely finished without feeling cold or sparse.
