The Angel family’s Missouri home, which is today’s featured barndominium, is nothing short of heavenly, thanks to their hard work and dedication.
Jared and Holly Angel served as their own general contractors throughout the duration of the project, which spanned a period of 13 months. The result is a stunning 40 x 70 barndominium that sits on a 10-acre lot on her family’s 200 acre farm.
The barndominium itself is a hybrid barndominium made with steel trusses, steel I-beams, and wood framing. It boasts three bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with approximately 2,000 square feet of living space.
Holly designed the barndominium floor plan herself, and the family was able to incorporate many of their own personal touches throughout the construction process. Having some construction experience certainly helped them out, but their willingness to put in the extra work ultimately made this project a success.
Attached to the Angel’s Missouri barndominium is an approximately 800-square foot shop/garage, which is the perfect space to work on projects, store vehicles, or in this case, organize all the necessary equipment for hobbies such as fishing!

Indoors, the barndominium is just as impressive as the exterior. The open floor plan provides plenty of space for entertaining, and the appearance of high ceilings give the home an airy and spacious feel (editor’s note – Holly reached out to us to let us know that her ceilings are only 8ft high. WOW! They look MUCH higher than that. Great job Holly!).
The personal touches continue throughout as we can see these stunning sliding barn doors, which Holly’s father built. Looking even closer we find out that these doors also feature a custom horseshoe handle, which is a nice nod to the family’s love of all things country.
The kitchen is another beautiful space in the home, and it features beautiful countertops, stainless steel appliances, and plenty of cabinet space. The farmhouse-style island is also a labor of love and was built by Holly’s cousin!
The bathrooms are both spacious and well-appointed with simply yet impactful decor options. The mirrors and lighting fixtures, in particular, are stunning and help to elevate the space.
Now that it’s complete, the family enjoys spending time in their beautiful barndominium, surrounded by Missouri’s stunning natural scenery. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, the Angel family has created a truly heavenly home.
The Angel family’s heavenly Missouri barndominium is a beautiful example of what can be accomplished when you put your mind (and heart) into something. Thank you for sharing your story Jared & Holly – and to see more of the Angel’s barndominium, be sure to follow Holly on Instagram @june_bugfarms!
