The deep browns and dark colors throughout make it a fantastic addition to the backdrop of the landscape. The thing that stands out amongst everything in this barndominium by Shelene Back (Perkinston, Mississippi) is the attention to detail. This is especially apparent in the slatted ceiling of the porch overhang. The natural wood color and the way the whole thing is put together make for a cohesive feel throughout. It also offsets the metal of the barndominium exterior to warm everything up and make it feel more craftsman and handmade.

We also love the stone trim elements all around the home. These can be a great way to add even more organic warmth to your barndominium. One of the downsides of barndominium homes is that they can feel slightly industrial and cold if you aren’t careful. This barndominium by Shelene Back (Perkinston, Mississippi), however, doesn’t have any of that feel and instead looks and comes across as a beautiful, comfortable family home.

I will be building a barndominium within the next few years and I am very interested in this plan. Can you provide the square footage of the home section? I, too, will need covered parking for an RV and my truck, and would use the other section as an enclosed shop. Thank you, in advance!
