Getting to Know the Owners
Lisa Maxwell and her husband, Al, bring a wealth of experience and passion to the Reviresco property. Al dedicated over 35 years to the wholesale construction supply industry, while Lisa attended design school in Northern California and worked for a custom home builder in Sacramento two decades ago.
Together, they have completed $1 million in remodeling projects across several homes, and Reviresco marks their second ground-up build.
What inspired you to build a barndominium?
“We love the open concept, which allows for a lot of flexibility in design. (For example, our main bedroom has a sitting area alcove that could be walled off and made into a second walk-in closet in the future.)”
Did you build your barndominium yourself or hire a builder?
“We did a modified contract with a local custom builder (Michael King Construction) and contracted some of the trades ourselves because of Al’s ties within several industries (plumbing, HVAC, appliances, cabinetry).”
Why name it “Reviresco”?
“It’s the Maxwell family motto, and it means, “I am refreshed” (or “I flourish again” or “I grow strong again” — depending on whom you listen to). It has the connotation of being revived. We had a brass plaque installed on one of the columns to the entrance.”

Are plans available for this Barndominium. Also is a rough floor plan available as well as square footage of the unit as well as the unattached stable. Also can the plans be stamped for Michigan or would I need to have them reviewed and certified for Michigan construction.
Thanks
